Ethnic Cleansing and Zionism


Ethnic Cleansing:
The forced expulsion of an "undesirable" population from a given territory due to religious or ethnic discrimination, political, strategic or ideological considerations, or a combination of these.

Zionism:
A movement that developed in the late 19th and early 20th century that called for the establishment of a Jewish national homeland in Palestine, based on the location of the ancient Kingdom of Israel. Since 1948, Zionism has been a movement to support the development and improve the image of the State of Israel, and to encourage Jews to settle there.
