VIGIL & PROTEST

PALESTINE SOLIDARITY GROUPS TO HOLD VIGIL IN RESPONSE TO ISRAELI RAIDS IN GAZA

Dear SPHR Members and Supporters,

In light of the ongoing violence and killing in the Gaza Strip that has left 112 people dead since Wednesday, many of whom are innocent civilians including women and children, Palestine Solidarity groups in the Ottawa area are holding a vigil as a show of support to the Palestinian people.

This vigil will be taking place every night starting on Tuesday, March 4th, 2008 until Friday, March 7th, 2008 in front of the Unknown Soldier memorial on the corner of Wellington and Elgin Street @ 5PM. This vigil is open to the public and to the media.

In addition, a protest will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2008 @1pm. We will be meeting in front of the A Channel station and marching to Parliament Hill afterwards.

Please distribute to your lists.

In solidarity,

SOLIDARITY FOR PALESTINIAN HUMAN RIGHTS
