you a true first hand humanitarian account of the implications brought about
by the offensive on Gaza.

Where 351 Fauteux, University of Ottawa (57 Louis Pasteur)

Background:
Born & raised in Waterloo, Ontario, Dr. Abdel-Rahman Lawendy has not only
become a role model for many Canadian doctors and humanitarians, but also an
advocate for peace and human rights. At age 19, he travelled to war-torn
Sarajevo as a United Nations volunteer. At age 21, he cycled across Canada
to raise awareness and more than $20,000 for the Bosnian relief effort.

More recently, Dr. Lawendy has travelled to war-torn Gaza during the latest
crisis and was part of the international medical volunteer team who worked
at a local Gaza hospital. He was able to document and chronicle many of the
events. Currently, he is travelling to various campuses to share his
experiences and provide a first hand humanitarian account from a medical
perspective, continuing to promote his message about the importance of peace
and power of people to effect change.
